What if you are having problems and you dont know who is causing them?

I have had problems over last 7 years and I tried loads of things nothing seems to work.

What I then read somewhere was that most problems are caused by oneself, i.e. through wrong actions, sinning, negativity etc... so one should look at oneself before taking any action.

BUt i know that bad energy, curses from others can come your way and adversely affect your life. If placing a red chilli under by bed then burning it makes y life better then sure i will give it a try
