Click the person's name beside one of the replies they have given.  This will bring up a member profile screen, at the bottom you will see a link "Show the last posts of this person." that will provide a short description of each post from newest to oldest for any member.

I suggest that a teaching topic updated weekly could do some great work for beginners .

Does anyone else agree that no one should be allowed to post under threads where are lessons in intermediate magic? Because its soon overflown with comments. I think it would be better if under a specific thread only one person should be allowed to post their lessons.
So that all posts should be referring only to the subject of lessons and only by one person. And for any questions on lessons user should make a new thread and ask question in there. For me its annoying that you go on thread like   "? Lessons" and i find a long list of chat and then lesson.
by my opinion it would be better if we would do it like i described.
just a suggestion tho...

yes- I agree. i was thinking exactly the same thing... although... actually... thinking about it, can't we lock our own topics? If we are writing a lesson up, can't we lock it after we've finished writing the new post, then unlock it again when we're ready to make the next post? :) that may be an idea... :D (I can't believe i only just thought of that! Ha ha!) :) :) :) x x x

Yeah, and how to get approved?  ::)

Title: Re: Forum Problems, Reports, or Suggestions.
Post by: rob on January 06, 2010, 12:16:21 PM
You would write me or let me know somehow that you are interested and then the process is manual approval.  I've added you after reviewing your profile, so you can now post.

I think on topics that you create, you should be able to delete other peoples posts. Like spam ones etc

Quite a while ago, I said that I wished to delete my account, but the site would not recognize my password as valid, and would not let me delete my account. I would really appreciate some help with this.

i know... x_x just when you need him as well! XD well anyway i guess i'll tell you guys what i want to do- I want my own forum where i can teach people about my own spirituality- A little different from the rest of the stuff on the forum. i'm currently getting a little more into native americanism now, as well as taking my spirituality from many other different sources. i want to teach you about the sort of rituals and traditions i have learnt about on my spiritual journey and how to make use of them. i'd like it to be a really different sort of forum. and maybe even give it a different sort of name... but i guess i haven't thought too much about that bit yet ^_^ Anyhoo! i can't do much about it anyway till rob gets back and sees what he thinks. i'd rather look after my own forum on here now than write on the other ones- Especially when someone gets back and is ready to start annoying me again...

I guess this falls under 'Forum Problems' - The number of off-topic posts in the forums have increased way too much and it seems like it's unstoppable. I'm afraid the number of off-topic posts have gotten bigger than the number of posts related to Magic. I need everyone to have control and post in the appropriate forums. It seems like the 'rats' scattered when the 'cats' went away. You know what I mean? I'm not a mod or something I don't know what to do. If Rob was here all along, I think someone already got banned. Peace out >.< . Thank you for reading and understanding. :)

Well, nobodys actually posting about magic. We need to entertain ourselves somehow. And its not my fault nobody posts on my off topic topic

Silver, let's be realistic, we post in the off topic topic, and then carry on everywhere else as well! OK, forum problems then.

I agree.  I think we may need to put in place something that was very common in the early days...  minimum post lengths.   Opinions?

Title: Re: Forum Problems, Reports, or Suggestions.
Post by: Jellybean-Kun on July 10, 2010, 05:29:26 AM
I think, once a topic is finished we can have a convo? Not much of a suggestion, but it doesn'tmatter if the problems been solved?
Or they can post offtopicly if they put something related in the post?
Or we could have a bunch of offtopic topics in general discussion
OR you could make a forum for offtopic convos
ORRRR! youi could make a forum chat
ORRR! we could all get msn and talk on there. (:

Title: Re: Forum Problems, Reports, or Suggestions.
Post by: FullMoon on July 10, 2010, 07:39:53 AM
Yes, but the reason we post in the topics is A: because it is finished

Or B: because we have something to say in reply to a comment, however the reply to the comment sometimes leads to off topic posts. I agree with Silver, if there is something topicly related in the post I think it should be allowed, or if the topic is finished and designated as such by the creator of the topic.
